Romantic and inspirational quotes can move all of us. But when they come hand-delivered from your sweetheart…well, then they make even more of an impact.
Start to collect romantic and inspirational quotes. The more directly they speak to your sweetheart, the better.
Each time you see a great quote, cut it out and mount it in a scrapbook, or record it in a journal by hand.
Once you’ve compiled enough quotes in your scrapbook or journal, make plans to present it to your sweetheart. You might want to write a personalized note at the front of the book.
Pick a special time and place to present it to them, like during a stay at your favorite Couples Resort.
This one is for all you guys out there. It may hurt a little bit at first, but we promise your sacrifice will be well worth it. Are you ready to play? Remember, no pain, no gain….
Tell your sweetheart that you are going out to a sports bar to watch Monday Night Football with the boys.
Leave work early Monday, and come home to cook a special meal for the two of you. When you think she is close to coming home, hide in the bedroom.
Let her walk in and discover the wonderful meal that is awaiting her.
Resist every urge to watch the game. You might want to turn your cell phone off too. Who knows who will be calling you or texting you with updates…
True romance is like an elegant meal-its best enjoyed slowly, richly, and with a sweet ending. So next time you and your true love dine out, why not make it even more memorable?
Show up at the restaurant before your sweetheart. Bring flowers and two cards or love notes with you.
Instruct the wait staff to deliver one card between the first and second courses, another card between the second and third courses, and the flowers after dessert.
You might want to coordinate this with the restaurant in advance. Or if you want, you can hold everything under the table, and hand-deliver the cards and flowers yourself.
Be sure to take you time. Savor both the meal and your time together. Make it a meal and an experience you wont soon forget.

True love always makes you feel warm inside. And sometimes, it’s the little things that generate the most heat. Here is a little thing you can do to make your love feel all warm and fuzzy – guaranteed.
Wait until he or she goes into the shower. Then, carefully swipe their towel from the towel rod.
While your sweetheart is getting nice and clean, toss their towel in the dryer for a few minutes.
When you hear the water shut off, grab the warm towel from out of the dryer.
Greet your sweetheart as he or she emerges from the shower with the warm, clean towel. Gently wrap it around his or her body. Warm and Fuzzy!
There is a line in a John Mayer song that resonates with me and guides me in my efforts to embrace love and romance both personally and professionally. “I believe that my life’s going to see the love I give returned to me”.
I am not perfect nor am I an expert in love and romance however, since joining Couples Resorts in 2001, my passion for creating emotional connections between our guests, staff and our company cannot be denied. One of the most vivid testaments to this passion involves reading guests’ love letters over the phone and in person. Hundreds of Couples Resorts’ guests (past, present and future) regularly to submit letters along with dates and times to call their significant others. Typically, my call catches the person on the other end of the line completely off guard. Sometimes they are suspicious and ask something like “OK Joe, is that you?”, but mostly they are shocked and silenced as they listen to the love I am relaying from their significant other. The calls usually and end in tears of joy - often on both ends of the phone. I have called a Board Room to read a love letter over a speakerphone and a Nurses Station at a hospital, Rehearsal Dinners, and the Groom just before walking down the aisle. Newlyweds en route to the airport for their flight to Jamaica and to our resort rooms, including one to a wake up the Groom-to-be. I get such joy from these calls. My life is already seeing the love I give returned to me.
